This setup guide is for the media/creative team.

Behind the presentation machine, you have always been able to help keep everyone singing the same lyrics, show announcements, and highlight the sermon’s points. For the first time, you are about to make those temporary images on stage become a permanent part of everyone’s notes!

Here is the abbreviated guide. With so many variations, you may want to check out other articles to help with your unique setup. Of course, you can always contact us to ask too.

Setup

  1. Create an account on sermon-slides.com
  2. Download the Slide Capture Mac app (on the presentation machine)
  3. Send an output to Slide Capture
  4. Link the encoder

We are going to walk thru these steps below

1. Create account

Login with your Google account (we will only use your email for sending account related messages).

After accessing your today screen, click Add Team (if you haven’t created your organization’s team yet.)

Name it something attendees will recognize, such as “First Church of Jerusalem”. Also, choose how many outputs you plan on using. selecting 1 is fine for most.

Now, after entering your payment info, the 15 day trial will begin.

2. Set up the output for the congregation

Setting up the screen is simple, and allows them to easily access it every week they attend. You don’t need to set up a new event every time.

Add a “screen”, for each room you are sending, or even add additional ones for different languages or content for your main room.

3. Presentation computer setup

Performance mode

For those needing extra flexibility, you can install the capture program on another machine and feed it a variety of ways. Check out our tutorials on your unique capture style.

On the machine that runs ProPresenter or other presentation software, install Slide Capture [download here].

Now, ensure it’s running, and follow this video to setup the ProPresenter Screen and Slide Capture Input connection.

Finally, setup the Sermon Slide configuration to either auto-capture, or manually capture.

Use Streamdeck / Companion?

Companion and other automations are fully supported, as well as macros in ProPresenter to control which slides are captured, and when.

3. Link to your congregation

Click the link encoder button, and choose which place your slides go to. This is necessary because you can setup multiple outputs, such as multiple languages, additional content, secondary rooms, or multiple campus feeds.

4. Test it all

Let’s try your feed out on the web and in the app!

On the website: click the “Public Share Link”, and you can add that to your website, tap platform, or put a QR code in your bulletin.

From the capture app: click the Globe icon, in the upper right, and it will open the watch website.

In Sermon Slides app: On your phone, you can use this link, or enter the 6 digit code to add the screen.

Spread the word!

To share this out, clicking the 6 digit code in the capture app provides a QR code that you can directly drag into ProPresenter for an announcement slide, or into any other program to advertise your slide availability to the congregation!
